Amanda is the Vice President & General Manager of Real Simple at Dotdash Meredith. She develops and executes digital brand strategy and manages the editorial team and P&L. Amanda was previously the Senior Director of Content Strategy for the Health, Parenting & Pets vertical at Meredith, overseeing brands like Shape.com, Parents.com, Health.com and DailyPaws.com. She also has a deep background in editing, writing, and using social media, video and audio to connect with audiences. 

Amanda is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor in power vinyasa, but she doesn’t actively teach right now.

Amanda has also been the Senior Digital Director at Shape.com and Fitnessmagazine.com, Senior Digital Director at LHJ.com, and a Senior Editor at Ladies’ Home Journal. Under her leadership, Shape's #LoveMyShape campaign won a 2016 min Best of the Web award, and LHJ’s beauty blog, Gloss Daily, was named Best Blog at the 2013 min Editorial & Design Awards.

Before joining the LHJ team, Amanda held several roles at Parents and Parents.com, and worked on award-winning special projects like the Parents Podcast.

Amanda has appeared on the Today show, Today in New York, Cheddar, The Better Show, and more. She regularly presents at industry conferences and events like DCN's Powerful Storytelling, the Folio: Show, min’s Social Media Bootcamp, and more. Amanda was named one of Folio's Top Women in Media (2020 & 2018) and one of AdWeek’s 15 young innovators in publishing (2015), and has commented on digital and social strategy in AdWeek, Media Shepherd, and more. She’s also been a guest lecturer for media classes at NYU and The New School.

Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Mass Communication. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and is based out of Meredith’s New York offices.

In a past life, Amanda also designed websites and stationery, and her work has been featured on Glamour.com, Apartment Therapy, Notcot.org, TimeOutNY.com, The Frisky, DesignMom.com, Modish, and more. She’s not currently accepting freelance design assignments because her day job keeps her busy! ✌️
