Amanda is the Senior Digital Director for Shape.com and Fitnessmagazine.com. She develops and executes digital strategy for the Shape and Fitness brands, and manages the digital editorial team. She also has a deep background in editing, writing, and using social media and video to connect with audiences.
Amanda was previously the Senior Digital Director at LHJ.com and a Senior Editor at Ladies’ Home Journal. Under her leadership, Shape's #LoveMyShape campaign won a min Best of the Web award, and LHJ’s beauty blog, Gloss Daily, was named Best Blog at the 2013 min Editorial & Design Awards.
Before joining the LHJ team, Amanda held several roles at Parents and Parents.com including Media Editor, Associate Editor, and Assistant Producer.
Amanda has appeared on the Today show, Today in New York, and The Better Show. She regularly presents at conferences, webinars and panels like the Folio: Show, min’s Social Media Bootcamp, and SPJ’s Excellence in Journalism conference. In 2015, Amanda was named one of AdWeek’s 15 young innovators in publishing, and she has also commented on digital and social strategy in AdWeek, Media Shepherd, and more.
Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Mass Communication. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and is based in Meredith Corporations’s New York offices.
In a past life, Amanda also designed websites and stationery, and her work has been featured on Glamour.com, Apartment Therapy, Notcot.org, TimeOutNY.com, The Frisky, DesignMom.com, Modish, and more. She’s not currently accepting freelance design assignments because her day job keeps her busy! ✌️
